About Me

Jessica
I love to make things: design and photography, arts and crafts of all kinds, cooking, and baking. Oh, baking. For reasons I ponder with the depth of a philosopher, my baker-heart seems to favor cake. I am enthralled with the look, taste, process, history, art, and culture of this deeply meaningful treat. Most of what you see here, and will see in the future, is cake-centric. That said, my heart also beats hard for the camera, and I tend to take pictures of most everything that comes out of my Brooklyn kitchen: a bowl full of fresh, tangy cold ice cream. A broken open, still-warm blueberry muffin. A slice of almost burnt toast topped with a perfectly poached egg… Welcome to Pictures of Cake (and Other Assorted Culinary Goods). Feel free to contact me with any questions, comments, or recipe requests. Thanks for looking!
