Lemon + Nuts = An Addiction

Or perhaps it's just the weather.

I keep baking nutty lemon cakes and I'm not sure why. Early last week I baked this wonderful Lemon Walnut Sour Cream Pound Cake from The Sweet Melissa Baking Book...

and, as you'll see tomorrow, the Cake Thursday cake was also lemon-heavy. And rather nut-heavy as well.

Nuts for Lemon? Nuts and Lemon? I have no idea. But my, do they taste good.

About Cake Thursday

Presently, it's Cake Thursday on Monday as Sunday's an easier baking day than Wednesday evenings. I try to bake for CThonM every other week, but sometimes things get in the way, so the schedule can be sporadic.
When I do succeed in the timing, I bring a cake into my office to share with co-workers. They are alerted to that day's cake by a designed invitation I email to them the morning it's to be eaten. As it now stands, I've not repeated a single cake since the event's inception.
Posts about CThonM cakes usually just show the invitation and the finished product. If you'd like to know more about a particular cake, please let me know (info@jessicasreed.com).
